"How great are the potential advantages of allowing the public greater freedom of use … relative to the potential harm associated with an increase in misquotations as a result of copyright licensing changes." Nice post by Liam about responses to Digital Economy submissions on copyright.

Very interesting read, great work by Colin Jackson (misprinted as Colin Jacobs) in the article. That is all I'm going to say 🙂 True colours…

"This Article argues that we need a politics, or perhaps a political economy, of intellectual property." Interesting concepts, and great references!
I think it’s really objectionable that these fundamentalist lobby groups appropriate terms like “Christian” and “family” as political leverage.
There are many Christians who don’t care for any of their fundamentalist ideas. And who isn’t a member of a family of some kind?
I’m agreeing with James Morris here.
I’d like to point out they definetly do *not* speak for all Christians. They probably speak for about as many people of other religions as actual Christians!
I totally agree with you and James. It is frustrating when fringe groups a) misrepresent people, b) misrepresent beliefs and c) often really believe they are doing the right thing, and as such it is hard to engage in a real dialogue.
