Eggsurely, I think it works kinda the other way around.
When you can respect & feel affectionate towards others, much of that leaks back you you, both directly (you treat yourself more the same way) & indirectly (your subjects return the respect).
I saw a demo of that this morning, at Tullah’s shop. I had a friendly chat with a Negro bloke from Zeehan, not effusive or anything, just open & friendly, and he returned the feeling. Others around the place were much more reserved, but I could see his renewed enthusiasm washing across them, as well, & I found this to feel pleasing.
I have one of those mugs, they are indeed cool. They also hold a lot of coffee.
